Decent
My HP laptop crashed after 4 years of use, and I decided to get a different brand. I did a research and this model was recommended as a great value for the price. I took a chance with a refurbished one to save some money. I have to say, I've bought refurbished Acer tablets for my kids in the past, and they did not last long... When I got the laptop, I set it up and it worked fine for a day. But then it gave me a dark screen every time I turned it on. I called the Acer customer service line and was told that this had to be because Windows did not load correctly. The Acer rep emailed me instructions on how to do a reset, which I did. Because of that I lost everything I already downloaded onto the laptop and I had to go through this process again!!! However, after reloading the Windows, the laptop started working fine. I like the feel of it, it's ergonomic. There are many outputs and inputs, but no SD/Mini SD card input like I had on HP. I love that the power cord is connected on the right hand side! Much more convenient than having it connected on the left hand side, where it usually gets unplugged all the time. The laptop is not super fast, even though it has 6GB RAM. I've read that it needs to be 8GB of RAM for it to be faster. I've also read that it is easy to upgrade RAM on Acer laptops. All in all, for the price it is a good deal. I hope it lasts at least 5 years, but who knows...
